Thankful hearts

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Needless so say this thanksgiving has been very different from any other we have experienced. Thanksgiving is not a Belizean thing, but because there are quite a few Americans who live here, they know some things about it. Because there are several American students and volunteers including us, and 3 British students, the Belizean staff here at Hillside wanted to share in a part of our culture by having a Thanksgiving dinner with all of the staff, students and volunteers. But because of our schedule, yesterday was better to get everyone there. We ate at a local resturant that overlooks the ocean. We ate some traditional turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, with some local flare consisting of beans and rice and potato salad. We then enjoyed a variety of American, British and Belizean deserts. Although we missed being with our family at home, it was a really nice, neat experience.

I cannot and don't want to stop being thankful for all the things God has blessed all of us with. I hope you all have taken the time to tell first and foremost God, and then all of those you love how thankful you are for them. I am and will continue to be thankful for all of your friendships.
